Best of the Best

Avenging Spider-Man #16– Spock (Spider-Man + Ock) teams up with the X-Men to tackle some giant spider thing. Wolverine realizes something isn’t right with “Peter,” especially after Spock decks Logan. Logan ends up getting Spock in a choke hold and tells Rachel to read his mind, but in the end, Spock talks them out of it and Rachel refuses. Also realize that the giant spider thing was created by the Jackal.

Batman #16– Batman heads to Arkum Asylum to confront the Joker. He blasts through all his tricks and side shows until he gets to the end, only to realize that Joker has captured all of his side-kicks and demands Batman gets in an electric chair, where he is electrocuted  Also, the Joker has someone on a silver plate that is supposedly horrifying to Two Face, Riddler, and the Penguin.

New Avengers #1 & #2– In a gist… T’challa has come across a person who is destroying alternate reality Earths/Universes to stop “incursions”… aka when two Universes collide and destroy themselves. T’challa takes out the Black Swan, only after losing 3 of his brightest young Wakandans. Due to the threat of universes destroying each other, T’challa calls on the most powerful men in the MU: The Illuminati (Black Bolt, Captain America, Dr. Strange, Iron Man, Namor, Reed Richards). They agree to use the Infinity Gems to try and fix this mess. BB, Capt, and Namor go to find Xavier’s missing Gem while Stark, T’challa, and Reed work on tech to possibly stop the next incursion. This is REALLY brief summary of an awesome book. The Illuminati discuss the possibility that they may need to be the ones to “do what is necessary” and destroy alternate reality Earth’s in order to save the one they live in. Only Captain America really objects to this plan.

Superior Spider-Man #1 & 2– We get our first real missions of Spock. We find out he is MUCH more brutal than Parker and seems to lay traps on whoever he is hunting/fighting. He is also much more unethical. We also find out that Parker’s spirit is still inside of Ock and he repeatedly stops Spock from killing whatever villain he faces. It seems like Parker isn’t gone after all. This has been surprisingly fun so far.

Thor: God of Thunder #4– In the future, King Thor has been defeated and begs for death… only to be placed back on his throne and left to heal once again. Young Thor heads to the cave of the God Killer where he is ambushed, caught, and tortured. Present Thor heads to his same cave, only to find another God hiding there as this God drops hints that Thor caused all this mess due to his actions in this cave in the past. Present Thor heads to the city of the Gods and finds it on fire due to the God Butcherer. He finds out he is headed to the Gods of Time and Thor follows, where he is transported to the same time frame as old King Thor. Excellent Book.

Uncanny Avengers #3– Red Skull uses his new powers to cause riots in the streets where humans are attacking mutants. The Uncanny Avengers arrive to try and stop the madness. Skulls powers are even having some effects on Captain America and Thor. Thor ends up double teamed by Skull and Pastor John and essentially becomes there slaves. Witch and Rogue snap out the control and tell Logan what happened to Xavier… which causes him to go into Berzerker Mode as he attacks Skull and chops off his hand. One of the henchman uses their power to turn of Logan’s X-Gene and at the same time, Logan is obliterated by Thor. This book is finally picking up steam.

X-men Legacy #4 & #5– Book to hard to explain. Legion is still fighting off the personalities in his head in order to pick the right powers at the right time. He ends up fighting the X-men (kicks there ass) but the X-men still take the kids. Next issue is mostly about Blindfold and the central villain so far. Buy. This Book. NOW!

Good

All New X-Men #5 & #6

Aquaman #16

Avengers #3- Avengers attack the peeps on Mars. Some cool fighting moments but in the end, Captain Universe basically Deus Ex Machinas them. They agree to stay on Mars and the Avengers take the new Adam.

Avengers #4– Origin story of this version of Hyperion. Also another look into how this book connects with New Avengers.

Captain America #3– Arnim Zola has attacked himself to Captain America somehow. Ykes.

Daredevil #22

Daredevil: End of Days #4/8

Deadpool #4

Hawkeye #7

Gambit #8

Indestructible Hulk #3

Punisher Nightmare #1- #5

Punisher War Zone #4/5

Secret Avengers #36

Scarlet Spider #13

Thunderbolts #3– The Leader is Rulk’s contact in all of this as he is pumping him with just enough gamma to make him smart again and says he will kill him when he is done with him. Deadpool jokes than Punisher will put a bullet in his head as soon as he finds out the Leader is there. And at the end… The Punisher puts a bullet in the Leader’s head as soon as he sees that he is there.

Venom #30

Average

Cable and X-Force #3

Conan the Barbarian #12

Hellboy in Hell #2

Justice League #16

Morbius the Living Vampire #1– Explains the back story of the book… kind of boring and not worth the read if you read the .1 Amazing Spider-Man issue.

Savage Wolverine #1– Wolverine is stuck on the Savage Land with no way out and teams up with the Native girl that I forgot he name. Apparently SHIELD was there for some reason so now Logan is going to figure out the reason.

Venom #29

Wolverine and the X-men #23

Young Avengers #1– Wiccan brings back the Gay Hulk thing’s mother from another dimension… who turns out to be pretty evil. Plus… Kid/Old Loki. Buy this for Loki. .

Bad

Avengers Arena #3

Iron Man #5

.

Awful

Uncanny X-Force #1– Awful #1 issue. Awful. Basically, Psylocke has been kicked out of the school because he is unstable. But, Logan has given her a mission that he can’t do himself because he has “retired from that stuff” or some bullshit.

Wolverine and the X-Men #24
